Profile:

With my medical working life split between general practice, with particular interest in the metabolic syndrome, and my media work, I still manage to find time to enjoy my teenage family and indulge my other passion – flying. With pilots licences for both aeroplanes and helicopters I travel extensively around the UK and Europe and am Team Doctor for the British Helicopter Team.  I also have a degree in Art, Media & Design with a specialist interest in hot glass, producing jewellery and larger pieces. When the weather is bad and the kiln is turned off I read a lot!
